SKU's and Racks

Although the masterpack data file indicates over 65,000 SKU’s, how many SKU’s do you actually expect in each location?

Approximately what % of the inventory is required to be stored in pallet racks?

If you look at the pallets of continuous storage in both sites, this represents one sku per location. 27,827 for East coast and 11,549 for West Coast.

Depending on how you footprint the available storage space to hold the continous pallets, will determine the % of Inventory in pallet racks. Hence; no approximately % would be accurate until know footprint is reviewed.

Rob,
1) Based on your most recent posting, I understand that June 1st is still the RFP due date. Correct?

2) I am confused by your response to the question concerning number of SKU. The RFP states you have 11,216 SKU on page 26. How does one pallet of continuous storage equate to one SKU? It reads as if there is only one pallet of each SKU.

3) Can the palletized product (unit) be stacked without rack? If yes, how many units high?

1) Yes June 1st is still the RFP due date

2) I took your question to be how many skus do we expect in each location. Our current footprint in our facilites only have 1 sku per location, hence the numbers listed below such based on total pallets for each coast. Yes you can have one sku in multiple individual locations.

3) Palletized product can be bulk stacked without rack but needs to be product specific based on possible damage to the finished product based on airspace in master carton and the weight to determine how many levels you can bulk stack
